10 tips on living with HIV

  1. Attend your clinic and get your regular 3monthly blood tests done (and go back for the results!)
  2. Aim to have a collaborative relationship with your doctor around your health
  3. Eat a balanced diet
  4. Get regular exercise
  5. If you are a smoker, give up smoking
  6. If you drink alcohol, drink it in moderation
  7. Aim to avoid or moderate your drug use
  8. Aim to reduce stress as it can impact negatively on your health
  9. Try to get enough rest and sleep
  10. Talk to people and get support
