MPOWER Programme

at HIV Ireland

Empowering gay and bisexual men with sex-positive, judgement-free and harm-reduction based responses to our sexual health and wellbeing needs.

What Is MPOWER?

The MPOWER Programme at HIV Ireland is a suite of peer-driven community-level interventions which aim to achieve a reduction in the acquisition of HIV and STIs and an overall improvement of sexual health and wellbeing among gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men (gbMSM). Find out more more.

Get Involved

Our rapid HIV testing service is led by gay and bisexual male volunteers. We offer full training and ask for a commitment of 2 testing shifts per month. We have volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and serostatus’. If you are interested in joining our peer-led testing team click here to register your interest.

Advocacy

HIV Ireland advocates for all individuals living with HIV and vulnerable to acquiring HIV. gbMSM are disproportionately affected by HIV and so the MPOWER Programme has an important function in advocating for this community. Learn more about our advocacy work.
