Managing Hepatitis

A healthy lifestyle and a good diet can have a positive impact on your liver, especially if you are infected with chronic Hepatitis B and C.  Recommendations are:

  • No alcohol or drugs (can accelerate the progression of the disease).
  • No smoking (thought to increase liver damage).
  • A healthy low fat diet.
  • Cut down on caffeine.
  • Exercise.
  • Don’t take unnecessary medication.
  • Get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B.
