Support and Advice

You may find that a lot of support is available from where you attend for your medical needs such as your Hospital’s HIV Clinic. Clinics have social workers who can support you and can assist with social, practical, or emotional difficulties surrounding your HIV status. They provide a safe, confidential and supportive service to discuss any issues which may be arising from your diagnosis. They can help you in accessing additional supports through referrals to appropriate services.

HIV organisations can also help you come to terms with your diagnosis, and talk to you about problems you are having such as housing, financial advice and around disclosure.
