Positive Now

Positive Now is a diverse group of people living with HIV working to build and enable an all-Ireland network of people and ensuring that their voices are represented at all levels.

Formed in June 2010, Positive Now has grown from an initial affiliation of 8 people to a national network of over 400 individuals living with HIV in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Its primary aims are to provide peer support and education and to provide a link between people living with HIV and service providers to ensure that their voices are central to policy and service level decisions. Through its unique position as a national network, Positive Now ascertains the issues and concerns of its affiliates to present these issues at government and NGO levels.

Positive Now hold social groups and events, including conferences for people living with HIV, and partners with us in HIV Ireland’s National Peer Support Programme.

HIV Ireland has worked closely with Positive Now since its inception, providing office and events space, and building the capacity of the all-Ireland network to self-advocate and self-represent.
